  3. Prepare Potato Layer:

  5. Arrange a single layer of potato slices on the bottom of the pot.
  6. Sprinkle the potatoes with cumin and a pinch of salt.
  7. Cook until the potatoes start to sizzle, which should take about 2 to 3 minutes.
  8. Evenly spread the cooked rice over the potatoes to form a uniform layer.
  9. Reduce the heat to low and place slices of butter on top of the rice.
  10. Steam the Rice:

  12. Allow the rice to steam until it becomes fluffy, approximately 45 minutes.
