Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Assemble all the ingredients.
  2. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add the rice, stir, then reduce the heat. Cover and let it simmer for 20 minutes. Once done, set the rice aside to cool completely.
  3. Preheat a large skillet or wok for about 2 minutes. Once hot, add vegetable oil, bean sprouts, and onions. Stir well and cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Incorporate the cooled rice and shrimp into the skillet. Cook for an additional 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Add the eggs, green onion, soy sauce, salt, pepper, and sesame oil to the skillet. Continue cooking for another 4 minutes, stirring continuously, until the eggs are fully cooked and all ingredients are well combined.

Notes

  • – For a healthier option, use brown rice instead of white rice.
    – You can add other vegetables such as bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas for extra color and nutrition.
    – Adjust the amount of soy sauce to taste if you prefer a saltier or less salty dish.
